Nine Pillars

Remy St. Clair

Remy St. Clair is a rapper, promoter, host and radio personality. He currently hosts The Throne Room Saturday mornings on WVAI 101.3 FM in Charlottesville. He is former cohost of the 101 Jamz Rize and Grind Morning Show, and former morning host on Charlottesville's WUVA 92.7 FM. He has emceed the Best of Both Worlds Dance and Step Competition at the Paramount Theater for three years running, and is resident host at Rugged Arts, No Filter and Verbs and Vibes.

Cullen Wade

Cullen Wade, aka Fellowman, is a rapper, musician, promoter, writer and educator. A former US PEace Corps Volunteer, he is the co-founder, lead talend booker and promoter for Rugged Arts, co-founder of No Filter, former organizer of Verbs and Vibes, and sponsor of the Hip Hop and Spoken Word Club at Monicello High School. He was a workshop facilitator with Rhyme and Design, a program of The Bridge PAI's Play the City project, and the Cypher initiative foundd by TedX speaker Bernard Hankins.

Devyn Wildy

Devyn Wildy, aka DJ Double U, is a DJ, promoter and educator. He is Lead Program Coordinator at the Cherry Avenue Boys and Girls Club, official DJ for Rugged Arts and No Fiter, touring DJ for Equally Opposite, and host of the hottest parties in the city.

Meliza Brillantes

Meliza Brillantes is an educator and long time community organizer. A transplant to Charlottesville, she has spent the last 20 years creating educational programming, Hip Hop events for youth, and working with school boards and local arts councils to open up new opportunities for the next generation in cities around the world.

Matt Burke

Matt Burke, aka Open Hands, is a teaching artist and journalist. As a Hip Hop emcee, he has travelled the world performing and teaching tenets of Hip Hop culture. As a journalist, he has hosted radio, TV, lectured extensively, and published writings on the subject.
